Low demand on Memory modules and over supply from OEMs caused continuous downtrend in price level, however manufacturers are expecting prices to be stable with a bit raise during Jan due to shifting some of the production lines to DDR4 which expected to be lunched on Q3 2015, adding to that the Chinese new year.
I advise to keep maximum one to two weeks stock for 4GB and 8GB modules, while for 2GB you can keep more as the prices reached the limit down.

We witnessed a slightly drop in module prices specially for high capacities ( 8GB ) due to the low demand worldwide, low capacities kept their prices stable.
“Led by Samsung, global DRAM bit supply growth will reach 24.2% in 2014 compared to a growth of 23.1% a year earlier. But DRAM bit supply is set for slow growth in the future as current bit supply growth has been driven by upgrades of manufacturing processes rather than by the installation of new production” According to Digitimes Research.
I advise to keep maximum one to two weeks stock for 4GB and 8GB modules, while for 2GB you can keep more as the prices reached the limit down.

The majority of DRAM contract prices were settled in the second half of October, according to DRAMeXchange
In the coming quarters, all three of the DRAM industry’s main manufacturers are expected to ramp up (increase) production as Apple raises its shipment targets for the iPhone6 and iPhone6 Plus.
Although DRAM links are showing a downtrend figures, however major brands and OEM suppliers are keeping their prices stable due to the high demand.
I advise to keep maximum one to two weeks stock for 4GB and 8GB modules, while for 2GB you can keep more as the prices reached the limit down.

Beginning of Q2 2014 we observed price increment in DRAM modules, due to the difficulties faced by suppliers in transitioning towards 2xnm technology.

DRAM prices reached highest level on 18th July, however prices started slightly drop further till today due to many reasons such as the unexpected reduction Notebook shipments in Q2 and Q3 and the relatively reduction in China smartphone market, which lead to lower the demand and oversupply in memory chips.

Suppliers expecting increment in demand specially with the new generation lunching from Apple and Samsung smart phones which requires higher capacities of memory, however prices still stable and the trend is slightly down.
I advise to keep maximum one to two weeks stock for 4GB and 8GB modules, while for 2GB you can keep more as the prices reached the limit down.
